Frequently Asked Questions
When should I get new grips?
It’s suggested that amateur golfers get new grips every 40 rounds. For a lot of people that’s about once a year. If your grips start to feel slick or harder than they used to, this can be a sign they need replacing. Visually, they might start to look a bit shiny, or show visible cracking and wear spots.
How do I know what grips to use?
What grips you select is largely up to personal preference, but there are some basic options that you should know about. Grips come in different sizes (junior, under-size, standard, midsize, jumbo) and materials (velvet, composite, wrap, cord, hybrid). Send us a message so we can discuss what’s best for you!
What should I do in preparation for my appointment?
Keep your clubs at room temperature for at least 24 hours before your appointment. When regripping clubs, the tape and solvent that bond the grip to the club work best on warm materials.
How long is does the regripping process take?
It depends on the number of clubs you are having gripped, but a safe estimate is about 5 minutes per club. A full bag should take about 1-1.5 hours.
Can I play golf with my clubs later that day?
Yes! You should wait about 4 hours after installation to use your newly gripped clubs. This will allow the solvent on the tape below the grip to properly cure.
How do I take care of my grips to get the most out of them?
Clean your grips with warm water, dish soap, and a soft brush every 5-10 rounds. This will get rid of any build-up of dirt, sweat, oils, and sunscreen that you transfer to them while playing.
